Some Things We Believe
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died so all people's sins could be forgiven (John 3:16-17; Rom. 5:8). It is our joy and responsibility to call others to count the cost of discipleship (Luke 14:25-33) and enter into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ (Matt.28:19-20).
We seek to model our individual and corporate life after the teachings of the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16), taking the entire New Testament as our creed. The life and teachings of Jesus in the New Testament help us to interpret the meaning of the Old Testament for our day (Matt. 5:21-48).
We believe that our love for Jesus Christ and all people is best expressed in obedience to Christ's teachings (John 14:23-24, 2 John 1:6) and acts of Christian service (Gal. 6:9-10, James 2:18-24).
We strive to follow Christ's example of reconciling love (2 Cor. 5:19). We cannot hate, treat anyone as our enemy (Matt. 5:44, Rom. 13:8-10), or participate in war or violence (Rom. 12:19-21, John 18:36, Luke 6:27-28, Matt. 7:12).

You May Want to Know
The strength of our church is the people. Members minister to each other by providing real support in times of need.
The congregation is served by a group of non-salaried ministers and deacons who share pastoral responsibilities. Active lay members lead and organize significant ministries.
We are members of the Church of the Brethren, a "peace church" that believes in the sanctity of human life and opposes on scriptural grounds all war and violence.
Our understanding of Scripture is shaped by the rich heritage of our Anabaptist and Pietist ancestors.
